I’ve always been interested in beauty – when I was a kid I would draw fake beauty magazine covers. Later on I went to uni and completed my undergraduate studies in Communication Design (majoring in traditional illustration), and dropped out of my masters. I then went on to work in print design for a few years, until I ultimately discovered that it just wasn’t my calling. Fast forwarding to December 2020, I was cruising around reddit, when a r/retouching was suggested to me by the algorithm. That’s where I discovered the wonderful world of retouching, and a lightbulb lit up in my head!

Even though I’m new at retouching, I’ve been using Adobe Photoshop since 2001. I tinker in Photoshop in my free time (as well as keeping my skills up in other Adobe CC suite programs).

Eventually, I’d like to achieve my goal of actually doing retouching as a side job. Lots of practice and networking to happen in the mean time however!
